Fingerprint & Pawprint Jewellery
Using Your Impression Kit
Your kit contains everything you need. Choose your method below and follow the steps — it only takes a few minutes.
Two-Part Moulding Putty
Mix the Putty
Take equal amounts of Part A and Part B and knead them together until the colour is completely uniform — no streaks or marbling. You have around 1–2 minutes of working time once mixed.
Roll Into a Ball
Roll the mixed putty into a smooth ball and press it flat onto a hard surface to create a pad roughly 1cm thick. Make sure the surface is smooth with no cracks or creases.
Press the Print
Firmly press the finger, paw, or nose into the putty. Hold steady for 10–15 seconds, then lift straight up without twisting. You want a clean, deep impression with visible detail.
Leave to Set
Leave the impression untouched for 15–20 minutes until the putty has fully hardened. It will feel firm and solid — like rubber. Once set, it won't change shape.
Check Your Print
Have a close look at the impression. You should see clear ridges, lines, or pad detail. If it's not quite right, don't worry — there's enough putty in the kit for a second attempt.
Send It Back
Pop the hardened impression into the pre-paid envelope included in your kit and post it back to us. We'll cast your piece in sterling silver.
Tip: For babies, try while they're sleeping or feeding. For pets, a gentle press onto their paw pad or nose works best — most barely notice. The putty is completely non-toxic and skin-safe.
Soft Red Wax
Warm the Wax
Knead the red wax between your hands for a minute or two until it's soft and pliable — similar to Blu Tack. The warmth of your hands is all you need.
Flatten Into a Pad
Press the softened wax onto a flat surface to create a smooth pad roughly 1cm thick. Keep the surface as even as possible for the best result.
Press the Print
Firmly press the finger, paw, or nose into the wax. Hold steady for a few seconds, then lift straight up without twisting. The wax captures detail beautifully.
Check & Retry
If you're not happy, simply re-knead the wax and try again — you can rework it as many times as you need until the print is clear.
Let It Firm Up
Once you're happy, leave the wax somewhere cool for an hour or so. It will firm up naturally and hold the shape without distorting.
Send It Back
Place the wax impression carefully into the pre-paid envelope and post it back to us. We'll cast your piece in sterling silver and have it back to you in 2–3 weeks.
Tip: The wax method is great for older children and adults. For babies and pets, we recommend the moulding putty as it sets faster and captures finer detail.
Breast Milk Jewellery
Sending Your Sample
You only need a small amount — around 10–15ml. Fresh or frozen both work perfectly.
Collect
Express a small amount of milk into the container provided in your kit
Seal
Close the container tightly and place it into the protective packaging
Post
Pop it into the pre-paid envelope and post it back to us — we'll take it from there
Frozen milk? No problem. Just pop it in the post while still frozen — it's absolutely fine if it thaws during transit.
Memorial Ashes Jewellery
Sending Your Ashes
We only need a very small amount — roughly half a teaspoon. Any unused ashes are always returned to you.
Scoop
Use the small spoon provided to place a tiny amount of ashes into the secure container
Seal
Close the container tightly and place it into the tamper-proof packaging
Post
Send it back in the pre-paid envelope — or bring it to the studio in person if you prefer
Take your time. There's no rush on this. Send your kit back whenever you're ready — we'll be here.
