Every Hara piece is designed, forged, and finished by one person at one bench. No casting houses, no outsourcing, no shortcuts. Just metal, tools, and the time to do things right.
Trained on the bench.
I didn't study jewellery at art school. I learned it the old way - at the bench, under a master, making mistakes with metal until I stopped making them. Years of training and working for other makers gave me the skills, but it was setting up Hara Studio that gave me the freedom to make things the way I believed they should be made.
No outsourced casting. No middlemen. No compromises on material. Just the work, done properly.

Hara Studio is based at Unit 9, The Parade Shopping Centre in the heart of Shrewsbury. Every piece is designed, made, and finished here - and it is also where you come in for permanent jewellery, repairs, or just to see what is on the bench.
The studio is open, accessible, and welcoming. There is no velvet rope, no hushed gallery atmosphere. Come in wearing what you are wearing.
I would rather make fifty pieces I am proud of than five hundred I am not.

Every piece starts as a sketch, not a template. I design for longevity, not for trend cycles.
Forged and Cast
Built from solid recycled metal at the bench. Dense, heavy, made to outlast the person who bought it.
Made to be kept
Repairable, resizable, designed for decades of wear. If something goes wrong, bring it back.
One at a time
I do not batch-produce. Each piece gets full attention from start to finish.
